1985 – Where It All Began
Ahuja Computers was founded in India, specializing in data capture and document processing.
1990s – Early Innovation
Launch of Giltedge Infotech, focusing on advanced data solutions and expanding into medical transcription.
2000 – DataMatrix is Born
DataMatrix Technologies is established in the United States to expand U.S. operations, initially offering medical transcription and document digitization. Pioneering the growth of digital solutions for medical transcriptions. (Moving from physical tapes to digital recorders)
2003–2005 – Growth
Grew financial services exponentially, working with a leading financial data and software company. Expansion of services into clinical documentation, partnering with major healthcare organizations. Started working closely with US-based medical societies, including but not limited to the Westchester Medical Society.
2010 – Medical Scribing Services Launched
Recognizing the demand for real-time documentation, DataMatrix introduces Virtual Medical Scribes, helping reduce physician burnout and improve charting accuracy.
2011–2015 – BPO Expansion
Formal launch of Back Office Processing (BPO) services for healthcare, indexing, and credentialing, and voicemail transcription.
2016 – EHR-Agnostic Platform Established
Builds capability to work seamlessly with all major Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, positioning DataMatrix as a flexible, tech-enabled partner for medical practices.
2018 – Prior Authorization Expertise Scales Up
With PAs becoming a nationwide bottleneck, DataMatrix formalizes its Prior Authorization team, providing scalable support for high-volume specialties like orthopedics.
2020-2021 – Pandemic-Driven Acceleration
Rapid expansion of remote scribing and virtual assistant services to meet urgent demand from telemedicine, and a reduction in the in-office staff. Developed partnerships with leading EHR companies across all medical specialties.
2024 – Strategic Industry Partnerships & Infrastructure Growth
Became an AAOE Peer-Reviewed Solution Provider, further growing trust within the Orthopedic space. While also expanding our network of partners, including MGMA and HLA. Operational expansion to support clients across the United States, with a strong presence in the Northeast, Arizona, and Florida. Support for over 300 providers with disability forms, EHR integration, and insurance verification.
2025 – Celebrating 25 Years of DataMatrix
Recognized for decreasing PA denial rates to under 1%, Our BPO services save practices up to 50% vs. in-house costs. DataMatrix has grown to over 300 trained scribes and RCM experts, leveraging a combination of technology and human support to achieve optimal efficiency, for a fast, accurate, and cost-effective solution for medical practices across the United States.
